Not “everybody”, mostly just Caucasian races.
The original magical or mystical 7 was the seven stars of the Plough / Great Bear / Big Dipper constellation, which was revered as the symbol of a shamanic cult based in the Altai Mountains in Central Asia around 6000 or 7000 BC.
Every civilization whose religion or mythology can be traced back to this cult believes that the number 7 has mystical properties. Most of the others think that it is nothing special, or even that it is unlucky.

7 is lucky because in gambling when you roll with dice it is the best number to bet on because it has the highest chance of being rolled. with two dice all the combinations of numbers add up to 7 the most.

Take your pick as to why people thinks its lucky- 777 in casinos, 7 wonders of the word, 7 days of the week, I guess 7 is in the bible a lot or something…..
In reality, luck isn’t real. You create your own luck, so 7 really is just like any other number

If someone wants to think 7 is lucky for them-let them. No harm done, unless they’ve mortgaged the house to bet the number on a roulette wheel.
